    Economic Impact Analysis:

Port Columbus, Rickenbacker and Bolton Field airports are more than just airplanes and runways. According to the January 2005 independent economic impact study they also mean thousands of jobs, millions of dollars in paychecks and billions of dollars in total economic activity.

The economic impact study followed a proven, FAA-supported methodology that considered all on-airport aviation activities, capital improvement projects, visitor related expenditures and their ripple effects.

According to the study, the total impact of the three airports results in nearly 30,000 jobs, $793.1 million in payroll and $2.7 billion in annual economic activity. Bolton Field is responsible for over 170 jobs with an annual payroll of nearly $5 million and a total of $10.7 million in annual economic activity.
