| DBE Program
Thank you for your interest in the Columbus Regional Airport Authority's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program. The intent of the DBE Program is to remedy any past and current discrimination, ensure a "level playing field," and foster equal opportunity in DOT-assisted contracts. In order to qualify as a DBE, a firm must meet eligibility standards established in Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 26, published March 4, 1999. The process of consideration takes approximately 45 days. Once received, certification is valid for three years. It must, however, be renewed annually by all DBE companies.
A Unified Certification Program has been formed according to the Federal Regulations 49CFR part 26. In order to become a certified DBE firm, an application must be completed with the DOT and is available at Ohio DBE: Unified Certification Program. This program enables minority and female owned companies to work on all federal funded transportation projects within the State of Ohio. Changes in the business such as address, phone and fax number must be sent to the Ohio Department of Transportation immediately in order to update the DBE directory. This information will help our purchasing agents work with your firm in building a better business team to achieve our mutual goals and objectives through effective buyer-seller relations.
Please contact the Ohio Department of Transportation at (614) 728-8499 regarding any questions or more information about the Unified Certification Program.
